Donor-Advised Funds

Amplify Your Giving With a Donor-Advised Fund

Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs)

A donor-advised fund (DAF) can be a meaningful way to support families affected by Tay-Sachs, Canavan, GM1, and Sandhoff diseases while maximizing your long-term charitable impact.

A donor-advised fund is a charitable investment account used to support nonprofit organizations you care about. It allows individuals, families, or businesses to make a tax-deductible contribution, invest those assets for potential growth, and recommend grants to qualified charities over time. Many donors appreciate DAFs because they offer flexibility, streamlined giving, and the ability to support causes year-round.

To establish a DAF, people work with a sponsoring organization such as Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, Vanguard Charitable, or a local community foundation. These entities handle the setup process, manage administration, and process donor grant recommendations, making charitable giving simple and efficient.

Please note: NTSAD does not create or manage donor-advised funds; we only receive gifts from these funds. If you’re interested in opening a DAF or learning which option best suits your financial goals, please reach out directly to a sponsoring organization or consult your financial advisor.
